Ecstasy, celebration, peace…I love this picture because it evokes calm in me. I do a grave injustice by naming this picture; most beautiful things cannot be named or classified can they ?:) It does not matter to the Lovely Little Ladies, if they don’t have shoes, if they don t come from well to do families, if they are lucky to even attend school. There are no regrets of past lost opportunities, no greedy expectations from the future. Just the present – the truth; and God manifest through such pure happiness. Small acts of kindness can be a big deal to someone else. Kudos to the girl in the centre – who has made a difference.

ill not say im happy coz uve started blogging, coz at the moments my feelings are deeper- its a mixed feeling, both happy n sad
happy becoz those little girls smile in the pic, bcoz they seem to b contented, bcoz they seem to hav forgotten all their worries in life at the moment, coz they all r smiling in the pic, and more so coz som1 has been able to make them smile.
sad becoz not all of us realise the need to make them smile, fewer realise the need to do something, far more few actually end up doing something. Same is the case with me too. i do smaill things in bits n pieces here n ther but none big enuf when compared with what this lady under wraps is doing.
Our society is torn with inequity, but thats inevitable. what matters most is whether we r able to bring down these artificial barriers created by inequitous distribution n access to wealth n resources by doing something worthwhile and by bringing a positive difference in thier lives.
It is this inequity and our assumed blindness towards it that saddens me.
Assumed blindness…nice term. Extends beyond not seeing…to suppressing the urge to help….for various reasons.
